Though the idea of a cellphone watch is not so new, the TripleWatch designed by Manon Maneenawa has an interesting triple flip technique that allows the user to transform the watch into a normal cellphone. Benq designers thought of women too and presented Snaked. This is a "reptile" looking phone, creepy somehow, but still is very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sport loving women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the ladies keep those fine shapes.

Nokia Aeon

Nokia Aeon was presented by Nokia on their website in the Research & Development section. What is so great about this phone is that it looks like it will actually go into production next February. Of course, its just a rumor, but still, makes us hope to actually see it someday in the GSM shop. All we know about it for now is that its a touchscreen phone and it looks fantastic.

Dell XPS M1530

Dell has taken the basic design of that system to build a new 15-inch laptop around it. Mid-size 15-inch laptops are perhaps the hardest to make interesting, and the XPS M1530 isn't nearly as revolutionary as the earlier model -- which had an LED-backlit screen and was less than 25mm thick.
It's still the best-looking 15-inch laptop we've seen in a long time, and reasonably configurable, starting at just £599 with high-end touches such as a slot-loading DVD drive, touch-sensitive media buttons and HDMI-output jack. We've reviewed the £829 version, the third most expensive of the four available units.

Samsung L74W Review

A touch-screen digital camera it’s definitely a different sort of experience than your typical digital camera. Samsung L74W have a 3 inch touch sensitive panel with which to change the shooting settings and other settings.


The L74W also features sensitivity settings up to ISO 1600, facial detection auto focus (AF) and auto exposure (AE), and a World Tour Guide. The Tour Guide provides information and images on some notable destinations in 30 countries around the world.
Competitors also featuring a wide angle lens are the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 (£289) and the Ricoh GX100 (£349), both of which are more expensive than the L74W.

Mooon Concept Phone

Mobile phone manufacturers just love to pack their newest models of smartphones with all sorts of cool features. This concept Mooon (not a spelling error) smartphone has at least one unique feature that could easily become a new standard.
As you can see by the illustration to the left, the Mooon has a Bluetooth headset that can be detached from the phone’s body and then attached to your ear. This means the user can use a Bluetooth earpiece and not have to purchase one separately. I am assuming that the earpiece is calibrated to the Mooon phone straight from the box, so the user won’t have to go through the whole calibration rigmarole.
Oh, did I mention that the front of the phone is a touchscreen? Then again, it’s not like we haven’t seen that before, like on the iPhone and its many imitators.

Meizu M8 at CeBIT 2008

Meizu’s M8 cell phone will definitely invoke comparisons of it with the iPhone. You can’t blame people for doing that, since the form factor itself is eerily similar to that of Apple’s high flying handset. The M8 is still in its prototype stage, and chances are it will take quite a while more before the final hardware and software is ready for production. The screen as shown at CeBIT 2008 looks crisp and bright, but as we all know, it is all about the user interface. Will Apple’s legal eagles swoop down on the M8?

kReader helps the Blind to Read

knfbReading Technologies Inc have designed a product to help those who are blind, vision impaired or have reading difficulties. The product named kReader is a piece of software which is installed on to a Nokia N82 mobile phone. Once installed, kReader allows you to take a photo of printed writing such as a receipt, food menu or price tag, and the software recognises the printed text, converts it with character recognition software and reads it out aloud. Also the software is capable of showing the printed text on the screen and each word is highlighted as it is read.
