Human Resources Development Minister Kapil Sibal with Minister of State for HRD D. Purandeswari released Aakash in New Delhi on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

"The tablet is for Rs 2,276 which includes taxes and cost of transportation. The government will provide subsidy of 50 per cent to institutes buying it. It will cost around Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,200 to institutes," Kapil Sibal said after the tablet was launched.

Its easy to charge it from nearby shopping malls or railway stations. It doesn’t matter whether your phone requires a Micro-USB connector, a Mini-USB or a 2mm charger, the kiosk will have a suitable charging port for you.

There are basically two ways to charge a mobile phone’s battery. You can either use a power cord that plugs directly into an electric outlet or you can use a USB based charger that draws power from a computer’s USB port. If a charging station internally uses the latter option, it may put your phone data at risk.
It is however relatively simple to keep your phone secure even while charging it at a public kiosk. Just remember to power off your phone completely before connecting it to the charging station and you should be safe.
The mobile charging stations installed at airports can be considered safe but the same may not always be true for other public kiosks that are operated by unknown people. If you have no option but to use such kiosks, do turn off the phone first.

Soon after the Tatas stunned the world with a Rs 1 lakh car, Nano, Hyundai stated its intention to come out with a car that could cost less than Rs 2 lakh and hit the road by 2011. And now, auto biggie Maruti-Suzuki too is ready with Its small car. The little car could hit the road, they say, as early as the end of this year or early 2009. The Suzuki car will come closest to rival Nano. It will sport a Suzuki 660cc engine - as against Nano's 623cc - and wear a tag of around Rs 1.5 lakh on road (that is, excluding insurance) - a little higher than Nano, which is expected to be Rs 1.25 lakh on road. London, Dec 30 (ANI): Get ready for a mobile video phone that can be worn on the wrist just like a watch, all thanks to a South Korean technology firm that has unveiled the world's first "3G watch phone."

The unique phone by LG Electronics boasts a touch-screen dialling system with a camera and an in-built speaker.
With all these features, the users could make video calls and gain high-speed Internet access.
The device also recognises voices, transforms text to speech, has a Bluetooth function and also works as an MP3 player.
The high-end handset is due to be launched in Europe later next year, reports The Telegraph.
With a 1.43-inch (3.63-centimetre) screen, the product is 0.56 inches (13.9 millimetres) in thickness.
The 3G watch phone will go on display at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from Jan 8 to 11.
The device makes part of a trend towards multi-tasking gadgets that can perform a host of functions. (ANI)
